Folk Roots, Modern Sound

Splicing Punjabi folk roots into R&B, pop and rock & roll. Every track is written, produced and engineered by Semwal — a sound no one else in Punjabi music is quite making yet.

The Man Behind the Groove

Semwal is a self-taught musician and producer from Chandigarh. He grew up on Punjabi folk and taught himself everything else — writing, producing and engineering his records from the ground up, with 30+ songs out and 233K+ listeners tuning in monthly.

The result sits somewhere no one else in Punjabi music is standing: folk melodies over R&B grooves, pop hooks with rock & roll energy, and a live band that hits like a festival headliner.

Junoon

Obsession, the kind that keeps a song on repeat. Punjabi pop over an R&B spine — written and produced start to finish by Semwal. Play it loud, after dark.
